Where are the sessions?

Public events listed on the BookWhen site and birthday party bookings are held at Kings Acre Camping & Glamping, Kingswood Lane, Saughall, Chester, CH1 6DE.

Corporate and school bookings are brought to the workplace.

How do I book?

Click on Book Now for all public sessions. This will take you to the Bookwhen page where you can see what is currently available to book. For private bookings, please email Suzanne at mamanaturehub@gmail.com

Do you take bookings for parties and events?

Yes. Party booking forms are sent out by email. Please get in touch: mamanaturehub@gmail.com

What should I wear and bring with me to sessions at Kings Acre Camping?

Wear clothes that you are completely comfortable in, taking in to account the session type. If attending a women’s wellbeing circle/event, we will be outside for some of the time and either in the log cabin or belltent so warmth and comfort are the focus! If attending an outdoor session such as forest school, please dress for the weather and terrain (layers, waterproofs, sturdy trainers or boots are best.) Wellies and waterproofs, including waterproof trousers are essential for children and advisable for adults too.

Drinks and snacks will be provided, however feel free to bring your own water bottles and extra snacks to the session (no nuts please, so we can be inclusive of those with severe nut allergies.)

Are you insured?

Yes, to work with babies, children and adults indoors and outdoors.

Are you qualified?

I’m a qualified primary school teacher with 17 years experience of teaching children and adults in and out of the classroom, a therapeutic outdoor teacher, reiki practitioner, accredited mother circle guide, first aider and forest school leader (Level 3). I hold a current enhanced DBS as well as a safeguarding certificate.

Why do I need to complete a health questionnaire for me (and my child, if applicable)?

This helps me adapt the session to include everyone and gives me time to do so in advance. Your information is kept in strict confidence and inline with our GDPR policy.

What if I’m late to a session?

Don’t worry, please join us! We’re all late sometimes. And if there’s a baby/toddler involved it’s almost inevitable! We won’t judge.

What happens if the weather forecast is bad for an outdoor session?

Outdoor sessions will go ahead unless there are extreme winds or heavy snowfall forecast, in which case we will contact attendees to formally cancel the session and a refund or transfer of tickets will be offered. On rainy days we will still go ahead so full waterproofs are advised. Please dress yourself (and your child if booked on an adult and child session) appropriately for the weather.

What if my baby cries/needs feeding/needs changing during the forest school sessions?

That’s absolutely fine, just see to them and rejoin the session when they’re ready, we all understand.

Can I cancel my booking and get a refund?

Sorry but bookings are strictly non-refundable. As a small business cancellations impact on us significantly. We can’t afford to run sessions with the option of cancelling like bigger companies can and we hope when you book that you understand and support this! Once you are booked in, your space cannot easily be rebooked.
